The Office of the Treaty Commissioner is looking for your feedback as we explore the state of Truth and Reconciliation in Saskatchewan communities.

The OTC's mandate is to help strengthen Treaty relations in Saskatchewan among Treaty partners by creating common understanding on the Spirit and Intent of Treaty.

We focus on Treaty education, awareness and enhancement of the Treaty relationship among all Treaty citizens in Saskatchewan.

Starting in 2016, and using the TRC Report as the catalyst, the OTC created a Vision of Truth and Reconciliation through Treaty Implementation, and subsequently supported the formation of regional Reconciliation Circles throughout Saskatchewan to bring grassroots people together to learn, collaborate, and build relationships through mutual respect and understanding. 

OTC is running a survey with the goal of strengthening the Treaty relationship among all Treaty peoples. This assessment will help us identify how we can best support grassroots people and local leaders in strengthening their Treaty relations based on their specific needs and aspirations.

It is our hope that this initiative will positively impact Treaty people in Saskatchewan by helping to provide active spaces for Treaty education, dialogue, and nurturing good relations among Treaty nations and municipalities.
