The Muskeg workshop will focus on giving participants a greater understanding of peatlands, climate change, traditional knowledge, and the industry practices that threaten these ecosystems.

One of the project goals is to bridge the gap and increase knowledge on the importance of peatlands to Métis and other Indigenous peoples, the environmental impact and combating climate change by acting as a huge carbon sink.
