Eden Robinson: From Storytelling to Screen
November 5 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Go behind the scenes with Eden Robinson as she discusses her writing journey and what it was like to watch her stories make the leap from page to screen. She’ll talk about the exciting process of turning her second book, Monkey Beach, into a movie, and how Son of a Trickster became a TV series on CBC and the CW.
Eden will also talk about the path that led her to writing, the people who encouraged her along the way, and why she chose to set so much of her work in her small home community. She’ll explore the mix of place, family, humour, and lived experience that gives her stories their unmistakable voice.
